Missouri Legislature Considers Two Pieces of Energy Code Legislation
Senate Bill 1263 would modify energy efficiency requirements for public buildings, create energy efficiency standards for certain products, and create home improvement energy efficiency incentive programs.
Senate Bill 1117 would create requirements and provide incentives for environmentally sustainable buildings.
Both bills were referred to the Senate Commerce, Energy and the Environment Committee. On March 6, 2008 a hearing was conducted regarding both bills.
