How to Meet & Beat the NH Residential Energy Code

The workshop will acquaint builders and code officials with the many benefits to building a modern high performance home. The session will begin with a summary of the changes and updates to the NH Residential Energy Code including a review of the different code compliance options including a demo of the REScheck^TM code compliance software. Most significantly, various methods of going beyond code through high performance home construction practices will be demonstrated. This workshop will also cover recent changes that impact high performance building including the ENERGY STAR® Homes Program. Heavy focus on building science as it relates to hot topics such as air sealing, bulk water management, ventilation, insulation strategies, and others is the program's aim.
