Building Codes Assistance Project

As of January 1, 2008, NY updated its energy code to the 2004 IECC with NY amendments for residential buildings and to the 2003 IECC for commercial buildings, with ASHRAE 90.1-2004 expected to be adopted shortly after. Nevertheless, the code council is already considering adopting the 2006 IECC with enhancements such as lighting provisions on the residential side and 90.1-2007 provisions on the commercial side.
